Why not make the flight a day out for the whole family?A local resident was surprised on his birthday to see the Alvis arrive at his home to take him to Wickenby for a 'spin' in the Tiger.
His family had arranged the whole package for him and even turned up at Wickenby to see him enjoy his birthday present.
The Experience
A recent visitor to the area took a ground tour and a flight in our Auster. Upon their return home, they wrote to Robert to express their view of the day. "..a few lines to express our sincere gratitude for your kindness and attention in August. Were you aware that I am petrified of flying? The Auster flight was both terrifying and exhilarating. I tried to imagine the similar feelings overwhelming a rear gunner in a Lancaster. I cant wait to do it again in a Tiger Moth!
