Flight Plans

There are currently three separate flight plans available.

PLAN 1 - The Northern Route. After take off from Wickenby, we head into a north west direction toward RAF Hemswell.At Hemswell we change onto a north east heading and fly over RAF Elsham Wolds toward RAF North Killingholme where we change to a south east direction toward RAF Waltham. From Waltham we take in RAF Kelstern, RAF Binbrook and RAF Ludford Magna before recovering to Wickenby.

PLAN 2 - The Eastern Route. After take off from Wickenby, we fly due east to RAF Strubby where we take a southern direction to RAF Spilsby and RAF East Kirkby. In a westerly direction we fly over RAF Woodhall Spa toward RAF Metheringham. At Metheringham we head north to RAF Bardney and RAF Fiskerton before landing at Wickenby.

PLAN 3 - The Southern Route. After leaving Wickenby, we fly to the south west near RAF Waddington and RAF Fulbeck where we change heading for RAF Swinderby, RAF Skellingthorpe and RAF Scampton. From Scampton we return to Wickenby.

The 'OUT OF AFRICA' Experience. In the 1985 film 'Out of Africa', the character of Denys was played by Robert Redford. In real life Denys Finch-Hatton lived the early years of his life in the family ancestoral home of Haverholme Priory set in 8000 acres of Lincolnshire countryside. Today Haverholme Priory is a ruin, but a small portion of the house may still be seen clearly set in its traditional surroundings from the air. Why not enjoy a flight from Wickenby, not over Africa, but over the home of the Finch Hattons in a Gypsy Moth type of aircraft as seen in the film and that used to fly in to the estate all those years ago.
